NOTE TO VISUALLY IMPAIRED USERS

In the left column is a list of states which you may click on to go to a page that has all the swimming holes in the state. When you get to the state page, there is a state map for each state which sighted individuals would click on to get to the individual swimming holes listing. If you cannot see this map, you will need to ignore it and go right down to the listings below the map.

The listings within each state are currently alphabetical by name of swimming hole. We are considering changing this order to be more geographical, like west to east or north to south. We have reordered Alabama north to south as a test.

Each listing is a table which has the "name" of the swimming hole and also several "towns" that it is near. The towns begin with a large but far away town that you might well recognize, then additional towns which are smaller but closer to the swimmming hole. Then, under each listing, there are also fields for "description" and "directions" and several other pieces of information. There is at present no specific information about accessibility by physically impaired folks.

In some cases, there are several swimming holes under one listing because they are so close together. In this case, the name will say the number of places, like "3 places". Under the "directions" part of the listing, all the places will be described.
